Temporary Position (Temp or Grant Funded Details):
Salary Range: $41,447 - $47,146 per year
Essential Job Functions:
1. Plans, develops, organizes, and coordinates activities to support implementation of specified instructional programs and labs related to the first year experience and degree completion.
2. Provides developmental advising related to the LifeMap curriculum.
3. Provides instruction in the use of MyVC and LifeMap tools.
4. Responsible for orienting students to the use of resources offered in the lab.
5. Hires, trains, evaluates, and supervises First Stop Lab support staff, including student laboratory assistants.
6. Maintains inventory of supplies and equipment.
7. Maintains computers and other lab equipment and recommends hardware and software upgrades.
8. Monitors campus lab budget and makes recommendations on creation and use.
9. Accesses, inputs and retrieves data from a computer.
10. Implements college policies, guiding principles, objectives and functions in accordance with the philosophy of the College.
11. Analyzes student systems and relational databases in order to resolve systemic problems and concerns related to the overall enrollment process.
12. Performs other duties as assigned.

General Working Conditions:
This job primarily operates in a professional office environment and within the community staffed by professional and student staff members. The individual in this role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, scanners, filing cabinets, die cut machines, laminators, and fax machines. Some position responsibilities require tasks outside of the office, in either a classroom setting, programming venue, or outdoors.
While performing the duties of this job, the noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to loud. Typical physical competencies include but are not limited to frequently remaining stationary, moving, reaching, positioning self and occasionally ascending/descending, lifting/moving objects weighing between 25 pounds. This job also entails frequently communicating, discerning and exchanging information, detecting and perceiving objects up close, at a distance, and the ability to adjust focus. Cognitive abilities include but are not limited to frequently using discretion, judgment, reasoning, memory, learning, maintaining confidentiality, comprehension, problem solving, and decision-making.
