Assistant Director, Annual Giving

Job Summary

The Assistant Director of Annual Giving is an annual fund officer that cultivates, asks and stewards donors to give to Utah Athletics through the Crimson Club. This role reports to the Associate AD for Development. This front-line fundraiser drives annual giving membership, assists the Director of Annual Giving with membership drives, annual campaigns, and moves management. This role manages an annual fund portfolio of approximately 100 donors, conducts loyalty points outreach, and supports hospitality and events.



Responsibilities
Drive Annual Giving membership
  • Serve as an assist to Director of Annual Giving for membership drives, annual campaigns, membership moves management
  • Particular focus on Crimson Club Levels 5-7 ($3k-$10k)



Manage Annual Fund Portfolio of ~ 100
  • Annual fund donor portfolio for outreach for moves management
  • Loyalty points outreach
Assist with Hospitality and Events
  • Serve as an assistant for Hospitality and Events

Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Business, Communication, Public Relations, English, or a related field, or equivalency (one year of education can be substituted for two years of related work experience). Five years experience in fundraising, marketing, sales, business, public relations, annual, corporate or foundation giving which includes two years of budgeting and supervisory experience. Demonstrated human relations and effective communication skills required. Experience in grant or proposal writing, public speaking, a background working with print and/or electronic media, an understanding of university fundraising practices and personnel management is preferred.
