Job Summary
The Walczak Lab is seeking a highly motivated and creative Postdoctoral Researcher to join our multidisciplinary team focused on the molecular mechanisms of neurodegeneration. Our research integrates chemical biology, protein biochemistry, and stem cell-based models to uncover how pathogenic proteins contribute to diseases such as Alzheimer's and frontotemporal dementia. The successful candidate will lead a project involving human iPSC-derived models to study proteinopathies, including tau and other proteins implicated in neurodegenerative diseases. The position will involve differentiation of stem cells into neuronal and glial subtypes, gene editing, advanced imaging, and proteomics to investigate protein aggregation, post-translational modifications, and cellular phenotypes linked to disease. CU is an Equal Opportunity Employer and complies with all applicable federal, state, and local laws governing nondiscrimination in employment. We are committed to creating a workplace where all individuals are treated with respect and dignity, and we encourage individuals from all backgrounds to apply, including protected veterans and individuals with disabilities.
