Job Summary:
The University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus seeks a .40 FTE Forensic Psychologist to work in the Department of Psychiatry in the Forensics Program. The applicant must have completed an American Board of Professional Psychology forensic psychology fellowship program and be Board certified or eligible. The Forensic Psychiatry program is part of the Community, Population, and Public Mental Health Division and focuses on providing forensic services in collaboration with the University of Colorado's state partners as well as private services.
This position shall provide competency, sanity, mental condition and unconditional release evaluations with our State Department of Human Services partners.
Key Responsibilities:
- Consultation for Competency, Sanity, and other complex cases
- Participation in Forensic Medical- Legal clinic
- Psychological testing
- Work in an interdisciplinary professional team that includes forensic psychiatrists and other health professionals
Work Location:
Remote - this role is eligible to work remotely, but the employee must be in Colorado to attend court hearing as assigned.

The Department of Psychiatry is one of the largest units in the UCD-SOM and is comprised of 5 Divisions. Qualifications:
Minimum Qualifications:
Applicants must meet minimum qualifications at the time of hire.
- PhD or PsyD
- Completion of American Board of Professional Psychology forensic psychology fellowship program
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working in forensic populations
- Experience completing competency, sanity, and other complex evaluations
- Professional experience with court proceedings, preferred testifying experience
- Eligible or certified in Forensic Psychology sub-specialty as recognized by the American Board of Professional Psychology
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively with a diverse population of faculty, staff and students Knowledge regarding clinical research regulations and principles of ethical conduct.
- Knowledge, experience, and ability to manage complex information and computer systems.

Anticipated Pay Range:
The starting salary range (or hiring range) for this position has been established as HIRING RANGE:
Sr. Instructor: $135,000
The above salary range (or hiring range) represents the University's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting. This position is not eligible for overtime compensation unless it is non-exempt.
