Job Summary

Oversight and management of the Conservatory Program, which includes the administration of the summer camps, private lessons, and Conservatory ensembles. Development of a marketing plan, budget, and an evaluation tool for all music activities. Creation and maintenance of the AU Website for the Conservatory Program. Collaboration with the university faculty and the community to promote the Conservatory Program. Responsible for tracking the Affordable Care Act (ACA) compliance for all bi-weekly, part-time faculty, and rehired retirees, and reporting this information to HR and Payroll.

Responsibilities

The duties include, but are not limited to:

PROGRAM DUTIES: Makes decisions required in planning, promotion, and successfully conducting conservatory courses, ensembles, private lessons, and summer music camps presented by the Division. Corresponds with conservatory faculty and others to ensure that all agreements, forms, handouts, music, programs, and other course materials are completed in a timely manner and with accuracy. Manages and ensures accurate and timely production of course materials for delivery to enrollees. Ensures that payroll information is submitted by this position in a timely fashion with accuracy and per institutional policies. Ensures that revenue billed versus revenue collected is accurately reported monthly. Must be able to learn and utilize registration software, the USG Faculty and Staff Portal, and PeopleSoft.

OTHER DUTIES: Perform all other job-related duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university and a minimum of one year in an administrative support role.

Preferred Qualifications

Teamwork, collegiality, exemplary customer service, administrative expertise, excellent verbal and written communication skills, excellent organizational skills, enthusiasm, patience, attention to detail, and eagerness to embrace change.

Preferred Experience

Experience in a community education setting providing administrative management and/or offering music opportunities to the community.



Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities

KNOWLEDGE

Working knowledge of student registration software.

SKILLS

Administrative experience, excellent verbal and written communication skills, interest in music, youth, adult, and lifelong learning, attention to detail.

ABILITIES

Ability to maintain confidentiality. Ability to plan and organize. Ability to work with a wide range of populations in the University and community.
