Lecturer, non-tenure track - Department of Biological Sciences
Position: Lecturer, non-tenure track, one-year term with a possible renewal for additional year(s) in the Department of Biological Sciences.
Appointment Begins: August 1, 2025
Minimum Qualifications: Applicants must have completed all requirements for a Master's or Ph.D. (or equivalent) degree in a biological science or a related field with a minimum of 18 graduate credit hours in a biological science by the time of appointment.
Responsibilities: The successful candidate will teach introductory biology lecture and laboratory courses offered by the Department of Biological Sciences for Fall 2025 and Spring 2026, with an option for renewal for additional year(s) based on enrollment needs and the lecturer's teaching effectiveness. This is a full-time, nine-month teaching position (15 credit hours per semester) that does not require academic advising, departmental or university service, or scholarly activity. Opportunities may exist to teach courses in the summer for extra pay. Preference will be given to applicants with lecture and laboratory teaching experience and a demonstrated commitment to excellence.
Salary: $45,000 - $50,000 plus benefits; Commensurate with
qualifications and experience.

The campus is located in Northwest Tennessee approximately 125 miles north of Memphis and 150 miles west of Nashville.
