The Kraemer Family Library at UCCS is searching for an Interlibrary Loan (ILL) and eResources Professional to coordinate ILL activities and assist with the handling and analysis of eResource usage and requests.

Salary/Pay Range: $ 42,000.00 - $50,000 annually. The salary of the finalist(s) selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to, internal equity, experience, education, specialty and training.

Summary

The Interlibrary Loan (ILL) and eResources Professional position at Kraemer Family Library assists UCCS Faculty and Staff with obtaining content that is available from other libraries in the region. The primary responsibility of this position is to coordinate interlibrary loan activities. This includes overseeing or performing the functions of borrowing/lending materials, scheduling & prioritizing workflow, statistics, and other tasks necessary to fulfill the mission of interlibrary loan. This position is also responsible for handling streaming video request, working with cataloging to download eResources bibliographic records for a subset of eResources and maintaining statistics for library eResources.

Essential Functions

The duties and responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to:
  • Conducts all processes related to the borrowing and lending of physical and digital library materials via interlibrary loan software.
  • Supervise any assigned library student assistants to assist interlibrary loan processes.
  • Compile and share statistical reports on interlibrary loan activity.
  • Works closely with the KFL Collection & Content staff on eResources including streaming video and other projects as assigned.
  • Track and process streaming video requests. Communicate with faculty that request streaming videos.
  • In coordination with Collection & Content staff load bibliographic records into the library's catalog for select eResources.
  • Maintain statistics for all eResources.
  • Keeps up to date with software updates and works with the KFL User Experience department to update interlibrary loan software as needed.
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Experience working in a library is required. Successful completion of related coursework in Library Science from an accredited institution may be substituted for experience.

  • Must have experience using the staff versions of library specific software such as integrated library systems, discovery systems, OCLC products or interlibrary loan systems is required.

  • Experience using the Sierra ILS system and ILLIAD is preferred.

  • Highly qualified applicants will have completed relevant coursework in Library Science.
