Job Description
The Department of Psychiatry at the University of Tennessee Health Science Center is seeking a full-time Postdoctoral Scholar to join the Department of Psychiatry. This position is of one-year duration but is potentially renewable for an additional one to two years, depending on performance and available funds


Responsibilities
  1. Assists research faculty with participant recruitment, enrollment, data acquisition, data analysis, and manuscript preparation.
  2. Supports the development of Grand Challenge grant proposals and other funding opportunities.
  3. Performs statistical analyses and contributes to multiple peer-reviewed publications.
  4. Participates in the preparation and submission of grant applications.
  5. Develop and propose innovative research ideas, including new methods for data analysis, that align with and advance current research initiatives.
  6. Applies for independent research funding; mentorship and support will be provided to facilitate this process.
  7. Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
PhD, MD, DO, or equivalent degree. Education and research experience in the areas of outcomes research. Successful applicants will have demonstrated success in research, scholarship, and/or grant-funded research. A commitment to excellence in teaching as well as excellent oral and written communication skills is also expected.
