Job Summary:
We're looking for a Testing Center Coordinator to join our team and provide essential support to the Office of Accessibility Resources. In this role, you'll be responsible for proctoring tests and assisting with various Testing Center duties.

Job Duties:
Reporting Relationship
  • Reports to the Director, Office of Accessibility Resources (OAR)

Work Setting/Schedule
  • This is a on campus, student facing position
  • This is a casual position working up to 20 hours per week
  • Position would be 40 weeks (August 18th - May 22nd), 5 hours per day (8am - 1pm or 1pm - 6pm)


What You Will Do:
  • Test Administration and Security: Proctor a variety of tests while maintaining a secure testing environment. Ensuring test integrity and adherence to testing protocols. Maintain confidentiality of students as well as testing materials which is critical for protecting sensitive information and intellectual property. Check students in and out of the center which is essential for accurate record-keeping and managing the flow of test-takers. Provide scribe and reader services when needed which is an important accommodation function, ensuring accessibility for all students.
  • Operational Support: Assist with daily test center operations which encompass a broad category of various tasks that keep the center running smoothly.

    Test scheduling duties include managing the test calendar and ensuring appropriate allocation of resources. General office tasks to include email communications, over the phone customer service etiquette. Routine administrative duties and professional communication with students and staff. The first point of contact for visitors, handling inquiries and directing traffic.

What You Will Bring:
Required:
  • Education: High School/GED
  • Professional Work Experience: Two or more years of related work experience
  • Knowledge Areas and Skills: Technical proficiency, advanced skills in Microsoft Word and Excel; Proficiency using internet, email, and calendar software; Familiarity with or ability to learn assistive software and hardware technologies; Communication and interpersonal skills; Ability to manage and respect confidential and sensitive information


Preferred, but not Required:
  • Education: Bachelor's Degree
  • Professional Work Experience: Two years of experience(or comparable knowledge) working with students with disabilities in a higher education setting.
  • Knowledge Areas and Skills: Experience with test proctoring; Working experience in various assistive software technologies, including screen reading, screen magnification, voice recognition, and translation software and hardware; Knowledge of various assistive hardware such as specialty keyboards, mice, FM systems, and screens; Understanding of the Americans with Disabilities Act and Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act; Experience with Banner Web; Experience with electronic filing systems/software.

The offer rate will be based on a review of the candidate's credentials compared to the qualifications of the position, internal equity, and our overall compensation philosophy.

This role is not budgeted for visa sponsorship at this time, all candidates must be authorized to work in the US at the time of submission of the application.
