Job Summary
Oversees and coordinates the residency program, which may include budgeting and/or complex program or record keeping responsibilities under the direction of the program director, associate program director and program manager.
This position has a great possibility for growth within the residency program.
This position will telecommute and will only need to come into the office once a week.
Responsibilities
- Oversees day-to-day operations of the residency program
- Provides administrative support for program director, associate program director and residents
- Assist program coordinator with program committees (program evaluation committee, clinical competency committee, etc.)
- Assists with producing and distributing annual rotation schedule and changes including entering and updating in MedHub
- Assist in coordinating program wide events such as new intern orientation, new intern BBQ, chief breakfast, chief graduation dinner
- Manage and maintain all resident travel and reimbursements
- Entering and maintaining the resident call schedule in Smartweb
- Manage and maintain resident Professional Development Accounts
- Help with proctoring and running resident interviews, ABSITE and mock orals
- Maintaining and monitoring of EPAs (Entrustable Professional Activities) dashboard
- Loading data into EQIP (Education Quality Improvement Program)
- Manage and maintain call money for residents
- Setup resident Opt Out Wellness Check In appointments
- Engages in life-long learning by taking courses to further professional growth, knowledge and expertise to enhance program management skills (through human resources, etc.)
- Actively participates at a national level in program coordinators' association (if one exists for the specialty), or other national meetings, e.g. involvement in the annual ACGME Coordinator program or other relevant graduate medical education committees

Minimum Qualifications
Associate degree in business or equivalency (one year of education can be substituted for two years of related work experience) and three years full-time secretarial experience required. Demonstrated human relations and effective written and verbal communication skills required. Knowledge of basic bookkeeping practices and direct supervisory experience preferred.
