Job Description
The University of Tennessee Health Science Center is seeking a full-time non-tenure track Open Rank Professor. This position includes clinical care, leadership and administration, research and innovation, teaching of residents and medical students as well as other academic pursuits and research opportunities. Responsibilities for the position include providing inpatient and outpatient Pediatric Pulmonology consultation and care at Le Bonheur Children's Hospital.


Responsibilities
The primary responsibilities include clinical care (including supervision of residents and students). The successful applicant will also help to provide interdisciplinary training, community engagement, and scholarly activities (e.g., clinical, translational, quality, or community research). The division leads and participates in the care of specialized populations with unique needs, such as children with cystic fibrosis, neuromuscular diseases, aerodigestive concerns, bronchopulmonary dysplasia, and high-risk asthma. This position serves as Chief of Pediatric Pulmonology, Allergy/Immunology, and Sleep Medicine. Supervision of residents and fellows. There is an opportunity to build a Pulmonology Institute.

Qualifications
EDUCATION: MD, DO, or equivalent degree.

EXPERIENCE: Minimum of seven (7) years of post-fellowship experience with progressive leadership responsibilities. Distinguished record of clinical excellence, scholarly achievement and administrative success. Demonstrated success in leading collaborative, multidisciplinary teams. National reputation in pediatric pulmonary care, research or education preferred. Experience leading or developing advanced programs (e.g., CF care center, sleep labs, aerodigestive programs) preferred.

LICENSES: Board-certified in Pediatric Pulmonary Medicine. Must be able to obtain a State of Tennessee medical license.
