Position Description
Designs, implements and manages an assigned program. Typical duties can include but are not limited to: Identify funding opportunities, conduct program assessments, prepare program reports, oversee and manage program marketing and communications, manage program databases, supervise program staff, plan research activities, coordinate program events, participate in strategic planning, manage program files, establish program standards and objectives, direct logistical activities to promote the success of programs, develop and implement project timelines and ensures deadlines are met, oversee program budget, ensure goals and objectives of grants are met, assists in proposal writing, comply and analyze program statistics.

Major/Essential Functions
  • Assist in the oversight of approximately 200 undergraduate learning assistants and part-time program coordinator.
  • Adoption and implementation of the Learning Assistant Alliance model across multiple departments/colleges
  • Coordinate weekly content meetings with faculty and undergraduate learning assistants
  • Develop learning assistant pedagogy curriculum and training materials and coordinate weekly pedagogy meetings with learning assistants
  • Observe and provide feedback to learning assistants
  • Collection of mixed methods program analytics
  • Coordination of learning assistant payroll in conjunction with the program coordinator and TLPDC Assistant Director
  • Verbal and written communication with students, faculty, and staff on behalf of the STEP Student-Faculty Partnerships and Learning Assistant Program
  • Assist with other TLPDC programming, workshops, and conferences as needed


Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree and four years of experience developing or managing programs or projects. Additional job related experience may be substituted for the required education on a year-for-year basis.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Completion of a Graduate degree
  • College level teaching experienceVery strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work and thrive in highly collaborative environments.
  • Experience in supporting implementation of active learning/student-centered pedagogies.
  • Experience with quantitative and qualitative methods and analysis
