The Program Manager ("PM") is essential to the planning, management, and implementation of all three annual LALP's flagship academic programs, which currently are the Global Competitiveness Leadership (GCL) program, held in the Spring, the Innovation and Leadership in Government (ILG) program, held in the Fall, and the Global Business Executive Leadership (GBEL) program, held in the Summer. Working closely with LALP AD, the PM manages the full lifecycle of these programs, from application management and participant selection to logistical planning, coordination with faculty and speakers, implementation, and post-program reporting. This role also serves as the primary point of contact for program participants, program faculty, and internal and external stakeholders. Beyond flagship program operations, the PM supports LALP's efforts with alumni engagement and contributes to strategic outreach and relationship-building initiatives across the region. Additional duties include, but are not limited to:
- Lead the planning, coordination, and implementation of the full cycle of LALP annual flagship programs, GCL, ILG, and GBEL, including managing applications, admissions, curriculum confirmations, and participant and faculty communications.
- Collaborate with faculty, guest speakers, and partners to develop and finalize program curricula and materials.
- Organize and facilitate virtual and on-campus program sessions, coordinating closely with the Office of Executive Education and other internal units, as needed.
- Create and maintain all flagship program websites, schedules, and materials, and ensure timely updates and communications to participants, faculty, and internal and external stakeholders.
- Support alumni engagement efforts, LALP public events, and custom programs as needed.
Work Interactions
The PM reports directly to the LALP Executive Director (ED) and works closely with LALP Senior Associate Director (AD), who supervises the LALP program and communications team. The PM works closely with the LALP ED and AD to develop program content, maintain strong relationships with faculty and stakeholders, and ensure alignment with broader McDonough School of Business and Georgetown University goals. The PM also works with LALP AD and the Public Relations and Events Manager (PREM), supporting LALP program outreach, alumni engagement, public dialogues, and events. Across the university, the PM works closely with the McDonough School of Business Office of Executive Education, faculty, staff, students, departments, and centers across campus (i.e. Georgetown Americas Institute, the Center for Latin American Studies, and the Center for the Rule of Law in the Americas), and externally with vendors, speakers, mentors, alumni, and other donors and supporters for the management of LALP academic programs.
This role directly contributes to the University's mission of teaching and service for the common good by managing LALP's flagship programs that aim to educate, connect, and inspire regional leaders to create impact networks with a positive multiplier effect across Latin America and the Caribbean.
