Job Description
The Business Analyst position's primary focus is on Business Analysis and Process Design, Technical Integration Analysis and Design, and Application/System Architecture. With some supervision, the position leads technical design, analysis, modification, development, testing, and documentation of complex enterprise-wide software solutions (purchased software, internally developed software, software modifications, and software interfaces) that execute independently or as part of a larger information system. Position will work closely with peer Technology Innovation teams (CRM/BI) as well as other Digital Learning units to support organizational goals at scale.


Responsibilities
Production Support and Application/System Analysis and Improvement

Working in collaboration with another analyst:
  • Mentor other analysts
  • Work with customers / campus partners to better understand current and future needs
  • Analyze current systems and architect for process improvement
  • Document data flows and system processes
  • Identify issues and recommend appropriate solutions
  • Identify and work with peers to correct issues in current production application systems
  • Work with customers to better understand current and future needs


Meetings, Training, Special Projects, and other Duties
  • Lead special projects, including analysis of projects, integrations, inter-dependences, and project management
  • Serve on working committees within Digital Learning which include implementation of new services and programs both internally and campus-wide
  • Attend meetings as required
  • Represent Digital Learning in campus-level meetings
  • Other Duties as Assigned

Qualifications
Required Qualifications
  • Education: Bachelor's degree
  • Experience:
    • Bachelor's Degree and 5 years business analysis experience

or
  • Associate's degree & 7-8 years of business analysis experience
  • Experience with process mapping & optimized workflow creation
  • Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis without need now or in the future for sponsorship for employment visa status.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience:
    • Experience in modern web integration methodologies
    • Experience with back-end development methodologies
  • Experience in higher education environment

Work Location
  • Knoxville, TN. This position does have the potential for a hybrid working capacity.
