Position Description
The IT Support Specialist I's scope includes providing technical support and assistance to departments, faculty, staff, and students with the use of software applications, customized applications, and websites, etc.

Major/Essential Functions
As the IT Support Specialist, everyday you will:

Provide support by conducting research, preparing reports, creating presentations, and coordinating efficiency within the Human Resources Systems team.
Serve as the system administrator for the Campus Training Management System (TMS) which includes security access, technical support, training, and building and deployment of online content.
Provides TMS system maintenance which includes upgrades, configuration, troubleshooting and user testing.
Provide system support within the Human Resources department to include, system access, PC maintenance, and inventory.

Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree with coursework in computer science, MIS, IT, or other related area OR a combination of related education and/or experience.

Preferred Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you must,

Be able to work independently and in a team.
Be able to organize, coordinate, and prioritize tasks for the HR Systems team.
Have advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office skills including excel, word, and powerpoint.
Ability to clearly communicate information, ideas, and directions both orally and in writing.
Ability to work with a sense of urgency and bias towards action in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities.
Exercise judgment based on an understanding of organizational policies and activities.
Have experience with desktop operating systems.
