Northeastern University Pharmaceutical Industry Fellowships Program is a two-year experiential program designed to advance lifelong learning and the education and training of Pharm.D.

graduates. A key element of the program's success is preparing Fellows to meet evolving

workforce needs across various sectors of the pharmaceutical industry.

Fellows have the opportunity to work closely with our innovative biopharmaceutical industry partners, while engaging with Northeastern University faculty in professional and career development, teaching, service, and scholarly activities.

In partnership with Northeastern University, Alnylam Pharmaceuticals is offering a two-year Global Medical Information fellowship, based in Cambridge, MA.

Responsibilities
Overview

The Medical Affairs organization at Alnylam plays a leading role in supporting pipeline assets, in preparing for launch, and supporting commercially available products, as we advance medicines for patients who have limited or inadequate treatment options. The Medical Information & Review team, within the Global Scientific Communications team, serves to provide healthcare professionals, patients, and caregivers with balanced, accurate, and current medical information about Alnylam's products. Medical Information engages cross-functionally with other expertise areas such as Pharmacovigilance/Safety, Quality, Legal, Regulatory Affairs, Commercial, Clinical Operations, Clinical Development, and Information Technology, to ensure the safe, effective, and appropriate use of our therapies. Fellows will gain hands-on experience in Medical Information, sharpening their ability to read, interpret, and develop medical content accurately and fairly, while also learning about and contributing to our medical digital strategy and execution.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Global management of requests for medical information

  • Medical Information content development, including standard response letters, custom response letters, and frequently asked questions

  • Data analytics and insights collection and reporting

  • Support of medical congress and information booths

  • Contributing to the execution of omnichannel and digital strategy within Medical Affairs to ensure optimal orchestration of scientific information to key stakeholders

    Qualifications

  • Doctor of Pharmacy degree from an ACPE-accredited institution

  • Eligible for pharmacist licensure in the State of Massachusetts

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills

  • Strong time management and leadership abilities

  • Ability to work independently and take initiative on a variety of projects at both the industry site

    Expected Hiring Range:
    $59,425.00 - $83,935.00

    With the pay range(s) shown above, the starting salary will depend on several factors, which may include your education, experience, location, knowledge and expertise, and skills as well as a pay comparison to similarly-situated employees already in the role.
