Job Summary


The Parking Services Department encourages applications for the Assistant Reporting Analyst position! This role focuses on creating and maintaining reports and dashboards that drive key business decisions. They are responsible for quantitative analysis of Parking Services' programs and payment systems by creating internal data warehouses and responding to ad-hoc requests for data. The Reporting Analyst will work with each unit in the department to determine KPIs and assist unit leaders with understanding their unit metrics. The Reporting Analyst will support the unit's Business Analyst on larger projects, gaining hands-on experience in data quality, pipeline support, and advanced analytics.

Parking Services is responsible for the construction, maintenance, enforcement and permit sales for most of the university's existing and new parking facilities. We offer a variety of permit options to meet campus parking needs. In addition, Parking Services provides staffing and parking plans for thousands of annual campus events. What Your Key Responsibilities Will Be


Reporting & Dashboard Management:
  • Build and maintain operational reports from the parking administration system (AIMS) using XML/SQL.
  • Create, update, and monitor dashboards for key performance indicators (KPIs) such as utilization, revenue, and customer service SLAs.
  • Produce recurring executive summaries and ad-hoc analyses to answer specific questions with clear, compelling visuals.
  • Serve as a main point of contact for data requests related to the department's programs and payment systems.

Analytics & Project Support:
  • Assist the Business Analyst in implementing and validating predictive models.
  • Support the automation of data formatting and cleaning for use in parking software and other systems.
  • Assist in the execution and monitoring of data pipelines and ETL/ELT jobs developed by the Business Analyst.
  • Assist in the administration and report-building for key enterprise systems, including Salesforce.
  • Perform assigned data quality checks by implementing validation rules and reconciliations to ensure data accuracy.

Documentation & Collaboration:
  • Create clear, user-facing instructional documents for reports and dashboards.
  • Assist with creating training materials for new solutions architected by the Business Analyst.
  • Work closely with operational units to capture requirements for reports and dashboards.

Other Duties:
  • Serve as a member of the campus Information Technology Community of Practice.
  • Participate in department and campus initiatives to promote a culture of respect, open communication, and accountability.
  • Develop your individual continuous learning & professional development plan.
  • Other duties as assigned.


What You Should Know

  • Not able provide Visa sponsorship for this position.
  • This is an in-person position on main campus, Monday through Friday, 8am-5pm.


What We Can Offer

  • The annual salary for this full-time position is $61,500. Relocation assistance may be provided within departmental guidelines.

What We Require

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Data Analytics, Business Analytics or directly related field.
  • Equivalent combination of education and experience may substitute.
  • Experience with SQL, Power BI/Tableau or similar applications.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite with intermediate experience in Excel.

  • Programming Language Experience (Python, SQL, HTML, CSS, JavaScript).
  • Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams).
  • Excellent Communication Skills with a variety of backgrounds.

  • Customer service or helpdesk experience.
