Job Summary

The Theatre & Dance Department encourages applications for the Temporary Stage Lighting Technician position! This role will assist our head electrician in the hanging and focusing of lighting instruments for theatre and dance productions and other duties as assigned pertaining to production electrician work.

What Your Key Responsibilities Will Be

Hanging and focusing lights.
Moving lights and related equipment to and from various locations in the theatre and dance building.
Occasional programming of ETC light boards.
Assisting and leading groups of students during shop hours.

What You Should Know

This is a part-time, temporary position but hours that may vary from week to week based on the team's needs.

What We Can Offer

The hourly rate for this temporary, part-time position is $20.00.

Benefits

Temporary positions at the University of Colorado are not benefits-eligible, however, all positions are eligible for paid sick leave.

What We Require

One year of relevant experience in an occupation related to the work assigned to this position preferably in theatrical and/or dance lighting
A combination of related education and/or relevant experience in an occupation related to the work assigned equal to one (1) year.

What You Will Need

Knowledge of standard lighting instruments used in theatrical and/or dance lighting, ETC light boards, and general production electrician skills (how to run cable, patch things, etc).
Comfortable with heights.
Ability to work with students.
