Assistant Professor of Instruction in Applied Oboe
The College of Liberal Arts and the Department of Music at The University of Texas at El Paso invite applications and nominations for the position of Assistant Professor of Instruction in Applied Oboe. This is a full-time, non-tenure track faculty nine-month position at the rank of Assistant Professor of Instruction.
Job responsibilities include but not limited to:
- Teach undergraduate and graduate applied oboe
- Teach additional music courses based upon secondary area(s) of expertise and needs of the Department of Music
- Serve as lead recruiter for the double reed studios
Job Requirements:
DMA in Oboe Performance preferred, MM in Oboe Performance with significant professional performing experience accepted. Candidates will have demonstrated excellence in undergraduate and graduate applied oboe teaching. Strong interpersonal, and communication skills are essential. The search committee is especially interested in candidates who through their research, teaching, and service, will contribute to UTEP's inclusive excellence framework.
