Summary: This position is an advanced role responsible for developing and implementing strategic talent management initiatives to enhance the organization's ability to attract, develop, retain, and utilize talent effectively. This role involves ongoing design, refinement and execution of leadership development programming, employee recognition programs, and Strengths-based coaching initiatives, as well as advanced analytics of workforce data, identifying trends, and providing strategic insights and recommendations to inform talent strategies. This position focuses on ensuring the successful execution of critical Talent Management (TM) programs, with an emphasis on coaching individual contributors, managers, and teams. This role collaborates with HR leaders and campus community partners to design and execute programs that align with the university's goals and drive employee engagement and performance.
Primary Duties:
- Design and execute leadership development strategy, (training, coaching, professional development and experiential learning assignments), through regular assessment and enhancement, as well as delivery and logistics coordination of key learning modules across all learning platforms.
- Assist in the design, implementation, and management of recognition programs across the organization.
- Provides primary coaching support for individual contributor, manager, and team sessions using Strengths-based development tools and practices.
- Partner with leaders to understand all necessary aspects of their learning and development needs, and to ensure they are fully informed of university learning and development objectives.
- Develop and oversee a system of effective performance reviews, which links individual performance to organizational outcomes, values, and core competencies.
- Collaborate with senior stakeholders to optimize talent development efforts and provide actionable insights and strategic recommendations.
- Foster a culture of informal knowledge exchange, coaching, and training throughout the organization to engage and develop the workforce.
- Prepares advanced analysis and reporting of talent development metrics to track program success, assess impact, and make necessary improvements and enhancements.
- Conducts assessment activities to evaluate and identify the current and emerging skills, competencies, and behaviors required to achieve desired organizational results and prepare the workforce for future needs.
- Identifies the types of training, development, and resources needed to achieve workforce performance improvements.
- Provide additional leadership of projects and initiatives as requested by leadership.
- Perform other duties as required/assigned by leadership.
Salary & Benefits $75,000 - $80,000, commensurate with experience

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Bachelor's degree in HR management, organizational development, communications, or a related field, and at least three to five (3-5) years of progressive experience with talent development programming.
- Demonstrates advanced analytical and problem-solving skills. Including tracking and analyzing programming success metrics.
- Strong written and oral communication abilities.
- Skilled in development and facilitation of training programs.
- Experience with leadership development or recognition program administration.
- Ability to build and maintain strong working relationships with a broad scope of employees including unit and department team members, as well as leaders at all levels of the organization.
- Ability to work collaboratively on cross-functional teams, as well as independently with minimal supervision.
- Excellent at managing time and projects effectively and adjusting quickly to changing priorities.
- Possess a high degree of confidentiality.
Preferred Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Certified Gallup Global Strengths Coach.
- An understanding of the university's framework for Reach Higher 2030, and a demonstrated commitment to educational equity
- Project management experience
- Experience developing, implementing, and maintaining employee recognition programs
- Workday systems experience
- Expertise with Adobe creative media suites
- Experience with web editing tools, creative media production for talent development programming, marketing, and publication
- Ability to provide effective functional leadership, guidance, and constructive feedback to teams and resolve moderately complex to complex issues
Working Conditions: Normal office environment. Some travel may be required.
