The Leeds School of Business encourages applications for a Photographer and Videographer! This role will implement a strategic, streamlined approach to all photography and video projects - from pre-production through post-production. We're seeking a collaborative professional who can take projects from concept to completion, producing work that reflects and enhances the Leeds brand.
Reporting to the Assistant Director of Design and Visual Identity, this role is part of the Leeds Engagement, Marketing and Communications team, which works to elevate the school's visibility and reputation in support of recruitment, student success, alumni engagement, and other college priorities. The team serves a broad range of internal and external audiences - including students, faculty, staff, alumni, donors, academic programs, and our four centers of excellence. As such, this position may capture subjects both on campus and in a variety of off-site settings, with flexibility to meet people where they work and engage.
The Photographer/Videographer ensures all content is professional, compelling, accurate, and tailored to its audience, while adhering to AP style, university brand standards, and Leeds' visual identity guidelines. This role requires outstanding attention to detail, creativity, critical thinking, and communication skills.

What Your Key Responsibilities Will Be
Photography
- Collaborate with team members to concept, plan, manage, and implement lifestyle photoshoots featuring students, faculty, the Dean, and classroom, campus, and collaboration settings.
- Capture or be responsible for photo/video coverage for 15-30 annual events.
- Manage the entire workflow: shooting, editing, organizing, storing, and sharing assets in the digital library.
- Maintain and curate the Leeds photo/video library; create filtered views by category for internal use.
- Train student photographers and communicate brand-aligned photography standards.
- Coordinate logistics for shoots-locations, scheduling, and subject coordination.
- Work in the Leeds studio to capture photos for Engagement, Marketing & Communications (EMC) projects and initiatives using either the green screen or one of the available plain backdrops.
Video Production
- Working with a creative team concept, project manage, creative direct, shoot and edit a wide variety of videos, including but not limited to: student profiles, faculty and research stories, event coverage, and social content.
- Work in the Leeds studio to capture videos for EMC projects and initiatives of a single subject or interview, using either the green screen or one of the available plain backdrops.
- Manage publishing and storage of video assets, including YouTube and Vimeo accounts.
- Integrate photo/video into the broader communication strategy, adapting content for different audiences and platforms.
- Recruit and manage photo/video student workers and external vendors.
- Manage technical equipment and gear.
Partner Support
- Collaborate with online/distance learning team to increase production value, improve effectiveness and ensure consistent branding.
- Collaborate with the Leeds studio videographer by assisting or serving as a second shooter (and vice versa), sharing equipment, and cross-training.
- Support requests for stock assets to be used in presentations and other academic productions.
- Provide clear standards, tools, and direction for partners contributing to Leeds communications.
- Stay current with photo/video trends and standard methodologies and share them with colleagues.
- Collaborate with campus photography/video teams to employ resources like b-roll, stock assets, and shared expertise.
What You Should Know
This position offers a hybrid work modality and is expected to work on site for photo and video shoots. Working in consultation with the position supervisor, there is an option to work remotely for editing and other non photo/video event related tasks.
What We Can Offer
The hiring range for this position is $58,000-$64,000. Relocation is available for eligible candidates.

What We Require
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution.
- 1+ years of experience as a photographer, videographer and editor.
- An equivalent combination of education and experience may substitute.

- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to operate and implement projects autonomously: use of independent thought and judgment and experience working collaboratively as part of a team.
