Position Description
Perform and analyze payroll and tax functions according to established policies and procedures. This title is reserved for use in Payroll and Tax Services.
Major/Essential Functions
- Ability to prepare, analyze, and review documents related to payroll processing, leave reporting, benefits deductions, tax withholding, and reconciliations.
- Adhere to strict deadlines, follow institutional policy, and/or federal and state regulations.
- Ability to promptly respond to requests for assistance and provide information in a kind and courteous manner.
- Maintain departmental procedures in an established electronic format.
- Ability to manage time in a fast-paced environment with expectations to complete assigned tasks as well as develop knowledge of departmental processes. This includes assuming additional duties to meet deadlines.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree plus three years of related experience; OR combination of education and experience to equal seven years.
Preferred Qualifications
Knowledge and efficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word. A communication style that can adapt to various knowledge levels of the intended audience. Accounting or finance degree.
