Are you detail-oriented, customer-focused, and passionate about accuracy? Join our team as an Accounting Technician III, where you'll play a key role in managing cashiering operations and delivering exceptional service to students and families.
What You'll Do
  • Lead Cashiering Operations: Process payments, issue refunds, reconcile transactions, and prepare secure bank deposits with precision and integrity.
  • Ensure Compliance: Uphold PCI standards for all payment and refund activities, safeguarding sensitive financial data.
  • Deliver Outstanding Service: Be the first point of contact for students and families-answer questions, resolve concerns, and provide guidance on university policies.
  • Problem-Solve with Confidence: Stay resolution-focused and apply de-escalation techniques during challenging conversations.
  • Manage Financial Processes: Handle returned payments daily, monitor outstanding checks monthly, and disburse accounts payable, payroll, and refund checks.
  • Stay Organized: Maintain accurate logs, manage the shared office email inbox, and process incoming/outgoing mail.
  • Collaborate & Adapt: Work closely with internal departments and assist with special projects or peak periods to keep operations running smoothly.

Minimum Qualifications:

Experience Only:
Three (3) years of relevant experience in an occupation related to the work assigned to this position, including exceptional customer service skills, cashiering skills, and basic accounting skills. Please outline experience in "work history" section of application. "See resume" will not be accepted.
OR
Education and Experience:
A combination of related education and/or relevant experience in an occupation related to the work assigned equal to three (3) years (Transcripts must be attached for educational credit)
Preferred Qualifications:
- Prior relevant state experience
- Experience with Workday
