JOB TITLE:

Part-Time Custodian, UW Housing

JOB PURPOSE:

This position is responsible for routine cleaning and sanitation of assigned public spaces, meeting rooms, restrooms and offices under general supervision.

Job Schedule and Pay:

Work schedule is flexible and primarily performed Monday - Friday. Weekends are not required.

No more than 20 hours per week.

$14.00 per hour.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Clean and sanitize common areas, offices, restrooms and meeting rooms.
  • Sweep, mop, vacuum, and dust floors and surfaces.
  • Restock supplies such as soap, paper towels, and restroom products.
  • Operate custodial equipment such as automatic floor scrubbers, vacuums, and carpet extractors.
  • Clean windows, remove trash, shovel snow, and outside clean-up.
  • Set up conference rooms for meetings according to the posted schedule.
  • Follow safety procedures.
  • May turn on the lights and unlock the doors.
  • Maintain a professional and courteous attitude when interacting with students, staff and visitors.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
  • GED or High School Diploma
