College/Department Information
Parking and Transportation implements the universitys parking plan and manages vehicle registration, permit issuance, lot enforcement, fine collection, citation appeal, lot scheduling for special events, and guest parking permit issuance. We also provide campus shuttle services and bus charters for student organizations and university departments.
Job Summary
Responsible to the AVP for Auxiliary Services for total operation and management of Parking Services including staff supervision; develop and maintain the departmental budget; direct all daily and special event parking operations; develop and direct comprehensive plans to meet current and future parking needs; coordinate parking lot maintenance; coordinate the identification of parking system violators; coordinate all parking related construction or renovation with facilities management and capital projects personnel; develop and direct customer service initiatives for all users of university parking services; coordinate parking operations with Public Safety; and perform other related duties as assigned.
Responsibilities
The duties include, but are not limited to:
Financial Management
Manage the fiscal operations of the unit, authorize expenditures, and recommend revenue collection and fee structures; oversee all administrative requirements including annual inventory, budget preparation and budget reporting.
Policy and Planning
Create and implement parking policies, regulations, and service plans for the campus community; developing and directing plans to meet current and future parking needs including coordination for all parking related construction or renovation efforts.
Staff Leadership
Lead and supervise the parking operations team including aspects of the recruitment, training, certification, and evaluating staff performance.
Operations Management
Provide direction and overall management of all university parking operations including permitting, enforcement, lot operations, lot maintenance, and event management.
Collaboration and Communication
Serve as a member of the Parking Operations committee, the Campus Safety committee, and other assigned work teams; coordinate parking information with campus leadership, departments and related populations including admissions, athletics, patient services, public safety, student affairs, transportation, etc.; provide accurate and up-to-date information on all web-based platforms and any applicable social media outlets.
Customer Service
Address concerns from students, faculty, staff, and visitors, and handle appeals for parking citations.
Other Duties As Assigned
Additional duties as assigned by the Chief Auxiliary Officer and/or the university.
Required Qualifications
Educational Requirements
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university with five years of applicable related experience.
Other Required Qualifications
Valid driving license with good driving history.
Required Experience
Supervisory experience required. Experience with parking permitting, enforcement, operations or related logistics environment. Experience with parking management and parking access control systems.
Preferred Qualifications
Additional Preferred Qualifications
Experience with parking management and parking access control systems.
Preferred Educational Qualifications
Master's degree in related field from an accredited college or university.
Preferred Experience
Experience with large university or similar complex parking operation; experience with AIMS Parking Management and/or FLASH Parking equipment; experience with financial accounting and payroll systems; prior experience in a customer service or retail environment; prior logistics, military, and/or event management experience.

ABILITIES
Ability to interpret policies and procedures; ability to plan effectively and make sound decisions; ability to project or forecast university parking needs; ability to prepare and manage budgets; ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with students, faculty, staff and external organizations. Ability to utilize modern information technology; ability to communicate effectively.
KNOWLEDGE
Knowledge of administrative processes; knowledge of budget processes; knowledge of facilities management and maintenance procedures; knowledge of the elements for effective supervision; knowledge of accounting practices and procedures.
SKILLS
Excellent analytical, time management and prioritization skills.
Shift/Salary/Benefits
Shift: Days/M-F (work outside of the normal business hours will likely be required of an employee in an exempt level position)
Pay Band: 15
Salary: Minimum $82,800.00/Annually - $105,600/Annually
Salary to be commensurate with qualifications of the selected candidate within the established range (generally minimum-midpoint) of the position

Conditions of Employment
All selected candidates are required to successfully pass a Background Check review prior to starting with Augusta University.
If applicable for the specific position based on the duties: the candidate will also need to have a credit check completed for Positions of Trust and or approved departmental Purchase Card usage.
Motor vehicle reports are required for positions that are required to drive an Augusta University vehicle.
For Faculty Hires: Final candidates will be required to provide proof of completed academic degree(s) as well as post-secondary coursework in the form of original transcript(s). Those candidates trained by a foreign institution will also be required to provide an educational/credential evaluation.

Credit Check
This position will require the acquisition of a P-Card and/or handle cash, credit or other sensitive information and will require a satisfactory Consumer Credit check as a condition of employment.
Driver's License Statement
The Human Resources Division will request a driver's history report for the identified top candidate(s) for this position. We will initiate this through our Background Check Vendor; this report will come from the Department of Motor Vehicles. The selected candidate must have a valid driver's license.
