Job Summary
The Digital Content Coordinator must demonstrate a strong appetite for new technology, emerging platforms, and everything in between. Curiosity must be combined with the ability to translate intelligence and ideas while supporting the AU brand pillars. The Digital Content Coordinator will be able to effectively assist on multiple projects and work with stakeholders around campus. The position is responsible for driving innovation in AU's digital content strategy. This role is responsible for planning, designing, creating, editing, and publishing content based on AU's brand pillars and stakeholders' needs. They are responsible for developing and implementing a content strategy to achieve university goals. The main focus of this role is content planning and creation. This role must brainstorm creative ways of engaging our audiences in the digital space. This role requires video content creation. Familiarity with video production, equipment and editing is required. This role must work with the content management system, web analytics platform, SEO research software, and other tools that aid in the content planning and publication process.
Responsibilities
The responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Content creation and outreach
Create video content to support digital platforms.
Assist with the university's podcast.
Continue building key relationships with stakeholders around campus.
Collaborate with content management teams, creative teams and writers to produce work and implement strategy.
Develop digital editorial strategy, so content is consistent across all delivery platforms.
Support and lead content on other digital platforms, including the Electronic Bulletin Board system.
Play an instrumental role in crisis communications.
Video, podcast content, and other weekly assignments.
Digital content development and audience growth strategy
Provide thought leadership in the following areas: consumer behavior, creative media engagements, emerging media, accountability and measurement.
Bring forward ideas proactively to take advantage of new technologies, launches and current events in real time.
Play an active role in the implementation and management of AU communications and marketing strategy.
Create specifications and content appropriate for AU's various content channels.
Stay up to date with digital content best practices to lead content creation.
Have an understanding on content reports and metrics to best guide content plans and creation.
Assist the social media team in content planning and production.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in marketing, communication, journalism, video production, or related field with a minimum of 1 year of related experience.

Extensive knowledge of video editing and production.
Knowledge of video editing software.
Experience with SEO and content optimization.
Experience with YouTube and other social media platforms.
Strong written and verbal communications across all levels of engagement.

Shift/Salary/Benefits
Shift: Days/M-F (work outside of normal business hours will likely be required of an employee in an exempt level position)
Pay Band: B9
Salary Range: $48,800/annually - $54,080/annually
Salary to be commensurate with qualifications of the selected candidate within the established range (generally minimum-midpoint) of the position.
Recruitment Period: 2/25/26 - Until Filled

Conditions of Employment
All selected candidates are required to successfully pass a Background Check review prior to starting with Augusta University.
