Position Description
Assist management with supervision of the operations and coordination of assigned area. May supervise second shift (evening/night) use of facilities and remote sites. Work is performed under general supervision in accordance with established polices and procedures. Performance is evaluated based on the effectiveness and efficiency of operations of the area supervised. Supervises other staff and/or student employees.
Major/Essential Functions
The Facilities Coordinator Supervisor supports the Building Superintendent in managing daily operations for the Jerry S Rawls College of Business. The position oversees work order coordination, event logistics, vendor communication, and building readiness to ensure a safe, professional, and high-performing environment for students, faculty, staff, and guests. The role serves as a key operational liaison to ensure efficient communication, timely execution, and consistent facility standards.
- Schedules, coordinates, and communicates with event hosts for setups and layouts for the Rawls College of Business.
- Supervise, arrange furniture setups, and rearrange physical spaces for events in the building and courtyards. Take down and reset spaces after events.
- Supervise and assist with moving heavy office furniture/setting up offices.
- Reports any damage and maintenance needs to proper channels. Guide and instruct Operations Division/ third party contractors to items needing work.
- Maintains that items are abiding by ADA and Fire Code. Performs as an Emergency Action Coordinator or as a Building Emergency Manager when needed.
- Assist Support Services staff with other duties including custodial work such as disposing of trash and mopping up spills.
Required Qualifications
Completion of high school or the equivalent plus five years progressively responsible office administration or supervisory experience. Additional education may substitute for required experience on a year for year basis.
Preferred Qualifications
High energy. Knowledge of setting up for events and the ability to be flexible and adapt to change.
