Position Description
Designs, implements and manages an assigned program. Typical duties can include but are not limited to: Identify funding opportunities, conduct program assessments, prepare program reports, oversee and manage program marketing and communications, manage program databases, supervise program staff, plan research activities, coordinate program events, participate in strategic planning, manage program files, establish program standards and objectives, direct logistical activities to promote the success of programs, develop and implement project timelines and ensures deadlines are met, oversee program budget, ensure goals and objectives of grants are met, assists in proposal writing, comply and analyze program statistics.

About the Department and/or College
The Jerry S. Rawls College of Business Administration is AACSB accredited and houses the School of Accounting that holds separate AACSB accreditation. The college offers the BBA degree with majors in accounting, energy commerce, finance, information technology, management, marketing, and supply chain management. Several formats of the MBA program are offered in fulltime, weekend, and online modalities in Lubbock, the Dallas/Fort Worth area, Houston, and San Antonio. The College offers MS degrees in accounting, data science, finance, and marketing research and analytics. A Ph.D. in business administration is offered with tracks in accounting, finance, management, management information systems, and marketing. With a faculty of over 140 and a staff that exceeds 80, the college enrolls over 5,000 undergraduate and 800 graduate students.



Major/Essential Functions
The Program Manager for Student Engagement supports the planning, coordination, and execution of student engagement initiatives within the Rawls College of Business. This role plays a key part in enhancing the undergraduate student experience by supporting mentoring initiatives, first-year programs and support, and leadership development. The Program Manager works collaboratively with campus partners to ensure high-quality, inclusive, and impactful engagement opportunities that support student success from recruitment through graduation.

This position will have the following essential functions:
  • Coordinate mentoring initiatives in partnership with TERN, including mentor-mentee matching and communications.
  • Support mentor and mentee engagement through regular communication, check-ins, and program resources
  • Assist with assessment and evaluation of mentoring programs, including participation tracking, feedback collection, and outcome reporting
  • Provide assistance to the Director of Student Engagement and Recruitment.
  • Support and create First-Year Experience programs and initiatives.
  • Support day-of event operations, including guest engagement, problem-solving, vendor coordination, setup, and breakdown.
  • Assist with assessment, reporting, and continuous improvement of student engagement programs through data collection and feedback analysis.
  • Assist with training, supervision, and support of student leaders and student employees involved in engagement initiatives.
  • Collaborate with Student Success, Experience Hub, and Recruitment teams to ensure a cohesive student experience from recruitment through graduation.
  • Work with the Director of Scovell Business Leadership Program to assist with speakers, service learning projects, Fall Kick Off, Spring Gala, and new member selection.
  • Assist in managing the Rawls College Ambassadors to serve the needs of the college.
  • Support the planning, coordination, and execution of the Business Career Awareness Program (BCAP), including logistics and event support.
  • Create and manage engagement opportunities with Business Learning Community students.
  • Assist in planning and executing student engagement programs and events, including but not limited to Rawls Day, recognition events, org fairs, and graduation receptions.



Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree and four years of experience developing or managing programs or projects. Additional job related experience may be substituted for the required education on a year-for-year basis.

Pay Range
$53,900 - $70,100 - $86,200
