Pay Range: $ 30.00 - $35.00 hourly. Compensation will be commensurate upon experience and qualifications. This position is Non-Exempt from the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) overtime provisions.

Summary
The Registered Dietitian will work in conjunction with the UCCS Recreation and Wellness Center team, which offers a highly advanced integrated multi-disciplinary approach with clinical psychologists, licensed professional counselors, licensed clinical social workers, nurse practitioners, wellness promotion professionals and campus recreation staff. The Registered Dietitian will conduct individual nutritional counseling sessions for UCCS students. The person in this position may be asked to give educational presentations when requested and assist nutrition and wellness promotion students in coordinating cooking classes and demonstrations for students.
Essential Functions
The duties and responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to:
- Provide individual nutrition counseling sessions for UCCS students. (60%)
- Conduct research and chart review in preparation for individual counseling sessions
and complete chart documentation and needed referrals for students seen during
sessions. (10%) - Work closely with counseling and medical providers to provide integrated care for
students being seen for multiple services. (10%) - Mentor graduate nutrition students in their community practicum and service-learning
hours. (10%) - Provide nutritional insight and support to Wellness Promotion team and campus
partners such as Clyde's Cupboard, Campus Recreation, and Dining and Hospitality
Services. (10%)

Qualifications
- Current Colorado Registered Dietitian license is required before start date.
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in Nutrition, Dietetics or a related
program is required. - Proven experience providing one-on-one nutritional counseling sessions is required.
- Master's degree from an accredited institution in Nutrition, Dietetics or a related
degree is highly desirable. - Experience working in a college health or counseling setting is highly desirable.
- Experience working with eating disorders and chronic illnesses is highly desirable.
- Experience using an Electronic Health Record system is preferred.
Physical Requirements
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit. Employees
are occasionally required to move. Tasks may involve using a computer screen continuously
for long periods of time, hearing within normal range. The employee must occasionally lift
and/or move up to 20 pounds.
