Join us at Mines as a CSM course instructor! Current courses available include CSM 101, 102, 201, 250, 275, 202, and 350. These positions are not eligible for visa sponsorship and will not be in the future.

Accepted candidates will teach a full semester, work collaboratively with Peer Mentors/Teaching Assistants (students), and facilitate the course and the respective lesson plans associated. Moreover, instructors are expected to provide assistance, support, and care for the apprx. 25 - 50 students enrolled in their respective class. *For more about CSM 202, please visit: https://studentwellness.mines.edu/csm202/#instructor-position.

If you're interested in multiple courses but only have the capacity to teach one in the fall, we strongly encourage you to apply for CSM 101: First Year Success Seminar, as there is a greater need for instructors.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Teach assigned classes as per course syllabus and schedule to meet the required contact hours, including holding optional weekly office hours.
  • Employ relevant teaching strategies and foster a supportive learning environment that encourages student success.
  • Assess student work and progress toward mastery of learning outcomes with timely feedback.
  • Develop, assess, and improve course materials, assignments, and delivery (as necessary).


Minimum Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Experiencing facilitating and leading successful and productive conversations/projects
  • Excellent communication skills


Salary and Benefits

Dependent on the specific teaching assignment, the rate of pay (stipend) per course assignment between $425 - $1500.
