About the Opportunity
Job Summary:
The Learning Specialist provides program management, LMS (Workday) administration and Articulate content development work. Utilize Workday Learning to create learning content, campaigns, enrollment, attendance, and data reporting. Train divisional administrators and have accountability for and/ or approval of related processes. Build digital and e-learning modules from existing content to support new hire onboarding and employee skill building. Interface with participants, internal contacts, and outside vendors to plan and organize training programs. Provide oversight and backup support for marketing, registration and training logistics including troubleshooting and coordinating trainer needs.
Research and evaluate programs and tools and recommends creative and strategic methods to support learning initiatives. Partners in identifying possible resources to deliver professional development programming and career development initiatives. May learn to facilitate developed workshops and will be asked to introduce or co-lead focus groups or small programs. Collects and assimilates learning metrics and evaluation data for presentation purposes (working in collaboration with the Learning Consultant); collaborating to update the learning system; and creating documentation and quick reference guides to promote learning at all levels.
This role will be on campus 4 days a week. Ideal schedule is Mon/Tues/Thurs/Fri in office and Wednesdays remote
Qualifications:
Knowledge and skills required for this position are normally obtained through a Bachelor's degree with four years of experience in human resources management, training and development, and/ or learning design, organizational communications, or other related fields.
- Strong interpersonal and communications skills and the ability to work effectively with all levels of the organization. Superior customer focus and service orientation.
- Experience with Articulate and Workday learning management system software required.
- Strong ability to organize and deliver training program logistics components with a customer focus
- Familiarity with event management as well as surveys and evaluations
- Interest in facilitating training and learning instructional design desirable
Responsibilties:
1) Curriculum Programming / LMS Administration/ Marketing:
- Plan, coordinate and manage HR professional development programming
- Manage key programs with multiple presenters and components
- Track and ensure payment for outside services
- Manage Workday Learning modules: course creation, campaigns, Engagement Builder, enrollment, reporting and business processes
- Partner to keep HR/ Talent Management and other departments' sites updated to ensure they reflect current training offerings and promote HR learning resources
- Manage multiple projects with different timeframes and expected results
2) Content Development:
- Increase offerings in digital format and the use of blended learning approaches
- Create Articulate or video learning using existing content or with SME partnership
- Recommend improvements in methods for programming & information sharing
- Prepare and produce training collateral, such as guides, "how to," toolkits, etc.
- Recommend changes or new ideas for training programs based upon participant and department feedback to ensure alignment with business needs
3) Evaluation & Metrics / Internal Support for Learning:
- Implement a consistent evaluation process; collect & distribute feedback quarterly
- Manage the production of the HR Learning & Development metrics and scorecard
- Support internal departments to ensure scheduling and course delivery details are planned and implemented

Expected Hiring Range:
$53,615.00 - $75,728.75
With the pay range(s) shown above, the starting salary will depend on several factors, which may include your education, experience, location, knowledge and expertise, and skills as well as a pay comparison to similarly-situated employees already in the role.
