Position Description

About the Department and/or College


Major/Essential Functions
Support Graduate Advising, Admissions, and Student Success:
  • Coordinate and manage the graduate admissions process for MS, Online MS, and PhD programs, including application review workflows, applicant communications, and admissions decision processing within university systems.
  • Advise prospective and current graduate students regarding admissions requirements, degree planning, registration, academic policies, Graduate School procedures, and program expectations.
  • Develop individualized degree plans in collaboration with students, faculty mentors, and departmental leadership to ensure compliance with program, Graduate School, and university requirements.
  • Monitor student progress and communicate critical deadlines, milestones, graduation requirements, and administrative processes to support student success and retention.
  • Coordinate graduate student onboarding activities, orientations, milestone tracking, exit examinations, and commencement-related processes.
  • Ensure student and faculty compliance with departmental and Graduate School policies.
  • Participate in Graduate School, advising, and college-level meetings to ensure departmental compliance with institutional policies and implementation of best practices.
Enrollment Management and Academic Records:
  • Serve as the primary departmental liaison to the Graduate School and Enrollment Services regarding admissions, transfer credit evaluations, degree requirements, academic records, audits, and student compliance matters.
  • Maintain student records and generate reports related to admissions, enrollment, retention, progression, graduation, and program assessment activities.
  • Utilize institutional systems and reporting tools to support enrollment management, student permitting, course scheduling, section management, and academic planning activities.
  • Monitor enrollment trends and provide data, reports, and recommendations to departmental leadership regarding graduate programs, online offerings, and student success initiatives.
Support Online Programs and Outreach Initiatives:
  • Coordinate operational support for online, hybrid, and off-site academic programs, including collaboration with faculty, instructional support units, and external partners to ensure successful program delivery.
  • Support recruitment, marketing, enrollment growth, and student engagement initiatives for online and distance education programs, including activities conducted at the TTU-DFW site.
  • Coordinate continuing education, professional development, and outreach offerings, including CE/CME programs, academic events, and workforce-focused educational initiatives.
Support Strategic Planning, Assessment, and Innovation:
  • Collaborate with university stakeholders to support implementation of digital credentials, micro-credentialing initiatives, course conversion projects, and emerging educational technologies.
  • Collect, maintain, and analyze program participation, enrollment, and outcome data to support assessment, reporting, and strategic planning efforts.
  • Coordinate special projects and initiatives that support departmental goals, strategic priorities, accreditation requirements, and operational effectiveness.
Administrative Operations and Leadership Support:
  • Prepare reports, correspondence, and administrative documentation for departmental leadership, faculty committees, and university stakeholders.
  • Provide administrative support to department leadership by ensuring timely communication, process coordination, and implementation of academic and student-related initiatives.


Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in area of expertise or closely related area required. Five (5) years of experience in planning, developing, or implementing programs or research grants. Additional education may substitute for required experience on a year-for-year basis.

Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor's or Master's degree in a business-related, higher education, or administrative field. Experience in higher education, academic advising, admissions, student services, or office administration preferred. Experience with graduate admissions, academic advising, and student success initiatives. Knowledge of online and distance education programs. Experience with recruitment, marketing, outreach, and enrollment management. Ability to analyze data and support strategic planning, assessment, and program improvement efforts. Knowledge of higher education processes, including admissions, advising, enrollment, academic records, and graduation requirements.

Pay Range
$59,000 - $77,100 - $94,900
