Position DescriptionThe Area of ISQS in the Rawls College of Business at Texas Tech University invites applications for a full-time, 12-month Lecturer/Senior Lecturer position to begin Late Fall 2026 or Spring 2027. This position is assigned to the online teaching of 8-week courses that are offered as part of five 8 week terms, scheduled throughout the year (two in the fall, two in the spring, and one in the summer) to provide better flexibility to non-traditional students who represent a significant part of the online student population at Texas Tech University. All courses in these 8-week terms are offered asynchronously. While appointed to this position, you will accrue vacation and will report leave monthly followingTTU's Operating Policy 70.01 and TTU System Regulation 07.12. About the Department/School/Area
The Rawls College of Business is AACSB accredited and offers the BBA degree with majors in accounting, energy commerce, finance, information technology, management, marketing, and supply chain management. Since Fall 2024, The Rawls College offers an Online BBA in General Business. Several formats of the MBA program are offered in fulltime, weekend, and online modalities in Lubbock, the Dallas/Fort Worth area, Houston, and San Antonio. The College offers MS degrees in accounting, data science, finance, and marketing research & analytics. A Ph.D. in business administration is offered with tracks in accounting, finance, management, management information systems, and marketing. With a faculty of over 130, the college enrolls over 5,000 undergraduate and nearly 900 graduate students. The Rawls College of Business Online BBA in General Business is designed for non-traditional students through an asynchronous online learning delivery. We are keen on candidates with a background in asynchronous teaching methods and/or experience working with non-traditional students including adult learners and working professionals among others. The chosen faculty will serve as a full-time, non-tenure track Lecturer within the college areas of ISQS.

Major/Essential Functions
At Texas Tech University, the Lecturer/Senior Lecturer title designates a full-time, non-tenure acquiring role with primary duties in teaching organized classes and/or instructional labs. In line with TTU's strategic priorities to engage and empower a dynamic student body, applicants should have experience working with a breadth of student populations at the undergraduate level.

Faculty Qualifications
  1. Master's degree or higher in information systems, business analytics, computer science, or a closely related discipline.
  2. Evidence of teaching or professional experience in information systems or related areas.
  3. Demonstrated experience in teaching at the undergraduate level.


Preferred Qualifications
In addition to the required qualifications, individuals with the following preferred qualifications are strongly encouraged to apply:1. Experience teaching undergraduate courses in information systems, business analytics, or related areas.
2. Experience teaching in an asynchronous online format.
3. Experience designing or developing online courses.
4. Experience teaching or working across multiple information technologies, such as databases, data analytics, programming, or other information systems topics.
5. Experience working with non-traditional students, adult learners, and/or working professionals
