Position Summary
An exciting opportunity to work as the Simulation Operations Manager of the Behling Simulation Center and the Clinical Competency Center is available at the Jacobs School of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences. In this role you will:
- Run and support simulation sessions for medical students, residents, and faculty, and program simulators with faculty.
- Keep simulators, audiovisual systems, and computers working, with vendors and the Office of Medical Computing.
- Supervise and train the centers' Simulation Technician and student assistants.
- Train faculty, residents, and students to run their own simulation sessions.
- Manage equipment maintenance, service contract renewals, and purchase requests.
- Write the procedures and keep the records that support accreditation and accurate billing.

Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience; EMT, paramedic, or equivalent clinical certification accepted toward the degree.
- Two years of experience in healthcare simulation operations or comparable technical operations, including leading or training others.
- Working knowledge of patient simulators and simulation software.
- Familiarity with networked computers, audiovisual systems, and equipment maintenance.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supervising staff.
- CHSOS or CHSE certification.
- Experience with pneumatic, hydraulic, and electrical systems.
- Experience with University purchasing, such as ShopBlue.
Physical Demands
Ability to frequently move and transport up to 50 lbs. Simulators and equipment weighing in excess of 100 lbs. are moved on wheeled beds and carts and are transferred using two-person team lifts.
Salary Range
$65,000 - $72,000
