Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
To provide direct supervision within the Custodial Operations department, to include leadership, direction, training, inspection, and correction. To coordinate daily cleaning, set-up and move activities of assigned staff in accordance with established guidelines.

Plans, directs and supervises the work of custodial and sets-up employees.

Provides training to employees per department plan; assists in implementation of overall training program.

Responsible for equipment and supplies issued to employees assigned to work area.

Coordinates facilities requests with internal and external customers for events, conferences, and meetings.

Assists in hiring procedures; completes employee performance evaluations.

Responsible for attendance and punctuality records of assigned employees.

Performs special projects such as floor stripping, wall washing, set-ups as needed, and in Safety and Procedural training scenarios.

Performs nightly inspections.

Other related duties as assigned.

May drive College vehicles to transport items across campus.

Power wash sidewalks, bleachers and exterior furniture.

Snow removal using snow blower or shovel.

Qualifications:

Education
- High School graduate or equivalent required.
- Some college preferred.

Experience
- 2-3 years custodial experience or similar required.
- Prior experience in a leadership role or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred.
- Valid Driver's license required.

Working Conditions:

Prior experience in a leadership role.

Or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Walking for long periods of time, standing, bending.

Climbing stairs, ladders, lifting heavy objects up to 50 lbs. on occasion.

Ability to see and hear at normal levels.

Must pass physical exam at College expense.

This position requires a background check, physical and drug screen.

Schedule: 3rd shift-9:30pm-6:00am ; Work weekends once a month 7:00am-3:30pm

Hiring Range:
Classified 8 Hourly Starting salary beginning at $20.75/hourly +3rd shift differential, based on education and experience
