The Simmons School of Nursing and Health Sciences (SNHS) is an innovator in health care education with nationally recognized faculty members and alumni who are leaders in their fields. The department is seeking creative, energetic and seasoned Administrative Coordinator to become part of their graduate online program. The successful candidate will join a vibrant team in delivering an online program that uses a robust set of online course delivery tools to support high-level student engagement through synchronous and asynchronous sessions.

About Nursing@Simmons
The Simmons School of Nursing and Health Sciences (SNHS) has expanded our campus-based MSN/FNP and DNP program to include an innovative and dynamic online modality with continued dedication to our mission and high quality education. These programs are called Nursing@Simmons.

Nursing@Simmons features a small student-to-faculty ratio with live synchronous instruction, providing professor and student interaction through video-conferencing, complemented by high-quality, asynchronous self-paced online content. Included in the program, each student participates in a comprehensive field placement clinical program in or near their own community with close oversight by CDM Section Instructors. Students learn from expert faculty who practice what they teach, and gain hands-on experience through clinical placements near their own community.

Courses meet weekly and/or as scheduled. The face-to-face interactions are blended with technology for an enhanced learning environment. This dynamic program is delivered in a state of the art robust and user-friendly learning management system featuring Web 2.0 technology (including interactive classes thru webinars, online discussions and online assignments and grading).

About the Position
The Administrative Coordinator will provide administrative and operational support for Nursing@Simmons Program Director and the Nursing@Simmons full time academic/operations team.

This position is a 40 hour position reporting to the Dean of SNHS and Faculty Director for Nursing@Simmons.

Key Duties Include:
Provide operational and administrative support to the N@S Program Director:
◦ Manage Google calendar and Adobe calendar and scheduling for Program Director.

◦ Manage travel arrangements, meeting request and email correspondence.

◦ Coordinate meeting invitations, room reservations, agendas, and minutes at meetings as instructed by the Faculty Director

◦ Perform general office duties such as ordering supplies, maintaining records, management of database systems, prepare and manage invoices.

◦ Support with other administrative duties as requested.


Provide operational and administrative support to Nursing@Simmons and full time faculty:
◦ Provide all logistical and administrative support to N@S full time faculty and program coordinators.

◦ Coordinate and liaise all meeting requests from 2U partner and other N@S faculty (reserve meeting rooms, technology, adobe calendars, etc.).

◦ Liaise with key functional areas across the college to support and on behalf of N@S faulty (Simmons Online, Technology, Registrar, THCS).


Provide operational support for Nursing@Simmons events and program meetings:
◦ Provide administrative, logistical and communication support related to program planning for immersion weekends in collaboration with Simmons Online operations teams.

◦ Attend and manage meeting minutes for all relevant meetings, and participate in Nursing@Simmons faculty, course lead, and operations meetings on an as needed basis.

◦ Support and assist with coordination of monthly cross-team meetings, updates and communications.


Collaborate with Simmons Online and other departments as needed:
◦ Collaborate effectively with peers across the College to assist team in interfacing with deans, vice presidents, college president, and other key partners.

◦ Maintain productive and helpful relationships with internal departments to which Nursing@Simmons looks for partnership.

◦ Work independently on special projects (writing, data management, creative, etc.) as requested.

◦ Provide similar support to other members of the staff as needed at the discretion of the Faculty Director.

◦ Throughout all functions, utilize discretion when dealing with confidential information, and demonstrate a high level of customer service by meeting and exceeding the Simmons customer service standards.

◦ Other duties as assigned.


Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience required

Minimum 3+ years of administrative experience (higher education and/or healthcare/nursing background a plus)

Excellent communication and customer service skills

Professional attitude and attention with confidential information and materials

Excellent time management and problem solving skills; ability to adapt to new and rapidly changing situations

Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office

Comfort with online webinar technology using audio, video, and shared desktop applications (i.e. Adobe Connect, WebEx, GoToMeeting, Skype)

Comfort with online scheduling and travel tools (i.e. Google Calendar, Expedia)

Occasional night and weekend work may apply
