Job Summary:

The Department of Physics at the University of Colorado Denver is seeking a full-time, tenure-track Assistant Professor in Physics to broaden computational activities in our academic program, teach across the physics curriculum, and develop a research program that engages our undergraduate students in research activities. The position is open to all research specialties, with a preference for expertise in computational physics, statistical statistics, or non-linear dynamics. The standard workload for this position is 40% teaching, 40% research, and 20% service.

The Assistant Professor in Physics is responsible for teaching the following courses, including but not limited to: General Physics 1 - Calculus Based (PHYS 2311); Vibrations and Waves (PHYS 2711); Methods of Mathematical Physics (PHYS 3120); Analytical Mechanics (PHYS 3211); Computational Physics (PHYS 4611); Advanced Undergraduate Seminar (PHYS 4920); and Advanced Physics Topics (PHYS 4980).

    Anticipated Pay Range:

    The hiring range for this position has been established as: $59,030 to $78,615 per year.

    The above salary range (or hiring range) represents the University's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting. This position is not eligible for overtime compensation unless it is non-exempt.
