About the Opportunity:
The Associate Director, Student Recruitment serves an integral role in the growth of enrollments within Northeastern University's portfolio of professional degree programs including bachelor's completion and graduate degree programs. The Assoc. Director is responsible for the design, implementation and analysis of an effective recruiting and events strategy for both the comprehensive prospective student audience and specific target audience(s) within the professional degree programs markets. Strategies must drive and support annual enrollment goals, management of key institutional partnerships, increase awareness and contribute to the overall success of Northeastern University and its programs.

The successful candidate will possess strong sales and/or recruiting experience with a demonstrated ability to develop and execute innovative ways to establish a sound outreach plan, generate and nurture quality student leads for Northeastern's colleges and programs, work independently, efficiently and effectively, and meet enrollment/sales goals through keen attention to detail. The Associate Director works in collaboration with the larger recruiting team on the overall recruiting plan as well as partnering with the marketing, enrollment and academic teams to meet goals for assigned projects and portfolios.

The successful candidate will be a team player with a service-minded attitude, has the ability to cultivate strong relationships with outside partners, has an uncompromising work ethic, strives to meet goals, enjoys meeting and attracting prospective students to Northeastern, and actively and positively contributes to the office welfare in a high volume, fast-paced environment. S/he will be adept at problem analysis and problem-solving. Strong interpersonal skills and a passion for communication are necessary.

Responsibilities:
Key responsibilities include:
- Develop, manage, and analyze an annual national-level recruitment plan by audience segment to drive program awareness, inquiry and enrollment
o Strategy will include travel (locally and nationally) and virtual recruitment initiatives designed to attract students in line with university priorities
o Management of key feeder institutional and employer partnerships nationally.
- Implement annual recruitment plans by program/domain and/or college utilizing innovative and efficient strategies (including, but not limited to):
o B2C events/efforts: institutional visits, online webinars, faculty enabled domain-based knowledge sessions, student fairs, higher education fairs, career fairs, and more
o B2B events/efforts: industries in the region, partner organization HR info sessions, organized professional development days for partner organization employees, badge/module offerings, HR leadership ambassadors, scholarship for company ambassadors and more
o College-/program-/audience-specific events, delivered professionally in person or online
- Identify venues and opportunities for faculty participation as thought leaders at sponsored program-/domain-relevant events
- Create and maintain relationships with feeder schools, businesses, organizations, professional networks, non-profits and others to identify and cultivate opportunities
- Collaborate with the Digital Marketing team to support simultaneous in-market efforts
- Embrace college/program strategies and work with the College Success Team to ensure alignment on the implementation and delivery of those strategies
- Collaborate in the planning and execution of comprehensive and program agnostic in-person and virtual events, including things like open houses, application workshops, admitted student info sessions, thought leadership webinars, and new initiatives as identified.
  • This position will work with the leadership team to develop recruitment targets, and partner with Enrollment Marketing and Events, College Success Team, Admissions Operations, Marketing & Sales Operations, Analytics, and the academic teams to ensure achievement of recruitment and enrollment goals.
  • This role requires effective cultivation of business and industry relationships with decision makers and prospective students in key industry pipelines. May also include attending industry meetings and conventions, events and networking opportunities.
  • The Associate Director, Student Recruitment will constantly evaluate the recruiting team's go-to-market strategy and identify new ways to engage, and nurture prospective students that can be replicated across the team.
  • This position will work closely with the Enrollment Marketing team and College Success Team, identifying opportunities to combine efforts and develop cohesive strategic initiatives working in conjunction or support of each other.
  • Regularly meet with the Enrollment Counseling team to identify opportunities in the funnel and deploy short and long-term tactics to increase the quality of leads and improve conversion rates at all stages.
  • Working closely with the Enrollment Analytics team, the Associate Director is responsible for identifying, developing, and tracking key performance indicators across the graduate and professional programs portfolio.
  • In partnership with the Marketing & Sales Operations team, the Associate Director will consistently look for ways to improve operational processes, developing working solutions to simplify the process for event planning, communication, and execution.
  • Effectively track and measure recruitment information in the University CRM, application and marketing automation systems with metrics related to the enrollment lifecycle, ensure that all events and leads are being recorded, and analyze recruitment data to determine the effectiveness of specific events and activities.
  • In partnership, the Associate Director, Student Recruitment will be diligent in monitoring data quality within our CRM systems, ensuring the generation of accurate reports that can be used to guide strategic initiatives for the entire recruiting team.
  • Will partner with leadership to provide mentorship, advice, and training to Admissions Recruiters on the team, ensuring continuous improvement and professional growth.

    Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree required
  • 5+ years of professional experience in recruitment, sales, event management, marketing and/or higher education is preferred.
  • Team management is preferred.
  • The ideal candidate is comfortable with formal presentations, informal networking and brings strong sales and/or recruitment skills and brings a passion for helping professional adults further their education.
  • Flexible, creative thinker open to new ideas and changing priorities within a fast-paced organization.
  • Ability to work independently, as well as with teams of colleagues, and possess the aptitude for detail-oriented tasks.
  • Strong project management and time management skills and ability to manage priorities and stakeholder expectations.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to think and act both analytically and strategically.
  • Experience working with a customer relationship management system (CRM) a plus.
  • Travel is necessary along with schedule flexibility.
