The Department of Radiation Oncology at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania seeks candidates for an Associate or Full Professor position in the non-tenure academic clinician track. Expertise is required in the specific area of proton therapy experience (4 years of experience required). Applicants must have an M.D. or equivalent degree. Applicants must be board certified in Radiation Oncology with 7 years of clinical experience. Rank will be commensurate with experience.

Teaching responsibilities may include direct, one-on-one clinical training for Penn radiation oncology residents rotating at Penn Presbyterian Medical Center. Other informal and formal teaching to include, but not limited to, participation in resident didactic series, both as a lecturer and as an in-person discussant.

Clinical responsibilities may include serving as site director for a thriving academic and clinical environment; lead practitioner for Radiation Oncology services at Penn Presbyterian Medical Center. Candidates must have a minimum of 7-years' experience in a variety of radiation therapy modalities, and specifically with proton therapy. As a leader for the practice location, the candidates must have prior leadership experience, with demonstrated achievement building a successful, thriving radiation oncology practice site.

Penn Radiation Oncology is dedicated to a three-part mission of excellence in patient care, basic and translational research, and the education of residents and medical students. Penn Medicine delivers a broad range of radiation therapy services to its patients, including intensity-modulated radiation therapy (IMRT), high-dose-rate (HDR) brachytherapy, partial breast irradiation, and stereotactic radiosurgery (SRS/SBRT using Gamma Knife /Cyberknife/Varian Linac). Patients also have access to proton therapy at the Roberts Proton Therapy Center, housing the largest proton therapy facility in the USA, comprising four gantry treatment rooms and one fixed beam room. Penn Radiation Oncology is not only committed to delivering high-quality radiation therapy, but also to enhancing and improving upon the patient experience by providing a full range of clinical services. An integral component of the Abramson Cancer Center at the University of Pennsylvania, Penn Radiation Oncology, can draw upon the center's full resources to deliver the best possible overall care.
