About Quinsigamond Community College:

Quinsigamond Community College (QCC), the largest community college in Central Massachusetts serving over 13,000 students in degree and certificate programs, adult education and workforce development. Job Description:

General Statement

This position is scheduled based upon business demand. Staff may work in the diner operation or the catering operation. Hours and days vary according to meal periods and event schedules and lab student availability.

The staff person will defer to lab student assignments. The staff person may receive direction from the student manager during a student's shift in the diner or catering operation. The staff person may assist the student in basic operations as assigned.

Supervision Received

Reports to Foodservice Lab Site Supervisor and Supervised by Diner Tech

Duties and Responsibilities

Deli ingredient Prep
Baking of quick breads, muffins, cookies according to diner recipes
Preparing and cooking of daily specials for diner
Rotating inventory
General cleaning and maintenance of kitchen areas and equipment *
Customer service; order taking.
Following a prep schedule for catering operations
Both front of the house and back of the house catering operations
Other duties as assigned regarding the efficient, legal operation of Bobby M's dining and catering venture.
In addition to the general tasks assigned to diner staff, the senior diner staff person is authorized to supervise student operation of the cash register, reconcile cash register and is the person in charge when HRM staff are temporarily away from the operation

Requirements:

Minimum Qualifications

Serve Safe Food handler certification, allergen awareness certification.
18 years or older for equipment operation and must meet technical standards.
