Job Summary

Supports live academics and athletics events by serving as a production engineer, producer and camera technician. Maintains all equipment, inventory and project assignments. Loads and sets up equipment for events. Works on productions as assigned. Assists the director in production and editing video as well as audio as assigned. Manages project assignments and coaches student workers.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
  • Supports live academics and athletics events by serving as a production engineer, producer and camera technician. Maintains all equipment during broadcasts. Load and set up equipment for events. Work on productions as assigned. Works as entry-level engineering assistant to the director.
  • Maintains all inventory and oversees and manages project assignments.
  • Assist the director in productions and edit video and audio as assigned.
  • Manages and coaches student workers and assists the director with daily tasks.
  • Perform all other job-related duties as assigned.


Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in a related field to broadcasting or media and three years of related experience.

Preferred Qualifications

Additional Preferred Qualifications

Advanced video and audio engineering skills including photography and audio.

Advanced level video engineering skills and understanding of troubleshooting video for live events.

Video and editing skills with demo reflecting this ability

Good personal skills

Leadership skills and experience

Sports experience including switching, setup, and streaming with an advanced understanding of backend management for sites.

Understanding of Adobe products

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities

Advanced knowledge of AV setup

Advanced knowledge of video switchers, routers, IT, audio mixing boards, and video and audio recording techniques.

Advanced understanding of engineering and entry-level IT and engineering skills.

Shift/Salary/Benefits



Pay Grade: 17

Salary Minimum: $44,967 - Midpoint: $60,705

Salary to be commensurate with qualifications of the selected candidate within the established range (generally minimum-midpoint) of the position
