Essential Functions:
Position has a key role in a team-oriented environment performing difficult professional work including but not limited to budget preparation, financial and operational analysis. To assist in budget development and expenditures analysis of state and institutional budgets at the University. To regularly monitor the budget throughout the year and conduct analysis on discrepancies between estimated and real spending, adherence to budgetary rules and regulations and accuracy in accounting and calculations. This position will identify, interpret and resolve budget issues for university administrators, departments and units throughout the university.

Minimum Education/Experience:
Bachelors degree in public administration, business administration, accounting, or related discipline; or equivalent combination of training and experience. All degrees must be received from appropriately accredited institutions.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
The successful candidate must possess a working knowledge of established governmental and departmental budgeting practices and procedures; knowledge of bookkeeping principles and practices; knowledge of Banner Finance or an equivalent system; knowledge of PeopleAdmin or an equivalent system; knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Microsoft Word and Excel) Applications; ability to understand interpret and apply the laws and regulations governing the maintenance of financial records; ability to prepare fiscal reports and analyses of financial documents; ability to instruct personnel in the implementation of budget procedures and various administrative assignments; ability to work independently with little or no supervision; to take initiative to see projects and assignments through to completion; to learn, interpret and analyze information to make necessary decisions; to exercise judgment and discretion in problem solving; to plan, prioritize and organize workflow; ability to work flexible schedules; excellent analytical and organizational skills along with written and oral communication skills, excellent editing skills; great interpersonal skills to interact effectively and diplomatically with a wide range of individuals in a high pressure environment.

Salary and Benefits:
$41,552 - $60,490
