About the Opportunity:

The D'Amore-McKim School of Business Development department is seeking a self-starting, entrepreneurial, highly-organized, proactive Development Associate to support our very active team of five frontline Director-level Major Gift fundraisers and our Assistant Dean of Development.

Responsibilities:
The Development Associate must be able to execute multiple projects, tasks and priorities that support the D'Amore-McKim School of Business Development Office efforts to engage alumni, parents and friends in the life of the University with the ultimate goal of securing philanthropic gifts.

Together with a one full-time peer Development Associate and a part-time peer serving remotely, this full-time position primarily supports the Associate Dean of Development, plus serves three Senior Directors of Major Gifts, and two Major Gift Officers in the D'Amore-McKim School of Business Development Office.

This work includes, but is not limited to, receiving visitors, directing phone calls, responding to inquires as appropriate, drafting and preparing correspondence and proposals, scheduling internal and external meetings and other prospect information. Duties also include managing the administrative oversight for processing travel and expense forms and purchase orders, coordinating meetings and appointments, filing, photocopying and sorting department mail, managing the gift processing function for each officer to produce high level turnaround on gift information and acknowledgments.

Must have the ability to work with basic research tools to conduct research on donor and prospects.

Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and Microsoft Teams. Familiarity with Salesforce, Market Cloud, and data analytics skills are a strong benefit.

Confidentiality protocols must be strictly adhered to. Strong writing skills are key. Proactive, service-oriented, capable of managing-up. Event coordination skills and willingness to travel very occasionally if necessary are a benefit. Ability to adapt to multiple audiences with varying degrees of professional formality and presentation. At times this role may involve face time with donors and/or faculty/students, so confidence in engaging with external constituencies is key.

Qualifications:

Bachelor Degree

Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and Microsoft Teams. Familiarity with Salesforce, Market Cloud, and data analytics skills are a strong benefit.
