Job Summary:

The candidate will be expected to provide independent clinical services for the plastic & reconstructive surgery team, including ED consults, OR first assist, post-operative visits, follow-up appointments, new patient exams, and office procedures (excisions, injections, laser treatment, etc). The candidate will also be responsible for the management of inpatient plastic surgery patients, to include daily rounds, writing of orders, patient assessment, patient education, and discharge. Close collaboration with the surgeons, hospital and clinic staff will be necessary. Eligibility for prescriptive authority is required.

This position requires the ability to engage in a full range of body motion including handling patients, manual and fine finger dexterity and hand-eye coordination. Position also requires standing and walking for extended periods of time as required during the delivery of services. Exposure to communicable diseases and bodily fluids is possible and it is expected that the candidate will be appropriately knowledgeable regarding universal safety precautions. This position will be required to work at multiple UCHealth locations and affiliates.

Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications:

Applicants must meet minimum qualifications at the time of hire.

NP Minimum Qualification:
  • Current license to practice as an Advanced Practice Nurse
  • Meets and maintains specific requirements of the Nursing Credential Review Board (Nurse Practitioner)
  • Ability to obtain prescriptive authority (DEA License)

PA Minimum Qualification:
  • Current license to practice as a Physician Assistant
  • Meets and maintains specific requirements of the Medical Review Board (Physician Assistant)
  • Ability to obtain prescriptive authority (DEA License)

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Surgical first assist experience
  • Previous academic experience

Anticipated Pay Range:

The starting salary range for this position has been established as HIRING RANGE:

$99,008-$132,662

The above salary range represents the University's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting. This position is not eligible for overtime compensation unless it is non-exempt.
