Location

Our Kennesaw campus is located at 1000 Chastain Road NW, Kennesaw, GA 30144. Our Marietta campus is located at 1100 South Marietta Parkway, Marietta, GA 30060.

The Department of English at Kennesaw State University is committed to excellent teaching, scholarship, and service to the university and the community. Job Summary

Kennesaw State University is now accepting applications for nine-month, full-time, non-tenure track, Limited Term Instructor or Limited Term Assistant Professor of English faculty positions in the Department of English with a preferred start date of August 2024. This position is for work to be performed in the state of Georgia.

Responsibilities

Limited-term faculty in the Department of English teach first-year composition.
The current teaching load is 5/5.
Faculty teach courses in a variety of modalities, including face-to-face, hybrid, and asynchronous online.

Teaching assignments will be based on earned degrees and SACSCOC Faculty Credentials Guidelines.

Required Qualifications

For Limited Term Instructor

A minimum of a Master's degree, or the foreign equivalent, in English or a closely related discipline is required.

A minimum of a Master's degree, or the foreign equivalent, in a non-related discipline with 18 graduate credit hours in English is required.

For Limited Term Assistant Professor

A terminal/Doctorate degree, or the foreign equivalent, in English or a related discipline is required.

Preferred Qualifications

Coursework in composition and rhetoric
Experience teaching college composition and/or tutoring in college writing centers
Experience teaching in multiple modalities including face-to-face, hybrid, and online
