Our Kennesaw campus is located at 1000 Chastain Road NW, Kennesaw, GA 30144. Our Marietta campus is located at 1100 South Marietta Parkway, Marietta, GA 30060.

Job Summary

Kennesaw State University is now accepting applications for a pool of open rank, part-time faculty positions in Electrical Engineering Technology for the academic year 2023-2024. These positions are on an as needed, semester-by-semester basis. Rank is determined at the time of hiring and will be commensurate with experience.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities include teaching undergraduate Electrical Engineering Technology (EET) courses. The majority of EET courses are project-based, application focused providing our students with real life experiences in the classroom. Responsibilities will include teaching one or more courses and/or laboratories in circuits, electronics, electric power and machines, digital/embedded systems, signals and systems, controls, test engineering, data communications or telecommunications networking. Review of the applications is ongoing. This position is renewable.

Teaching assignments will be based on earned degrees and SACSCOC Faculty Credentials Guidelines.

Required Qualifications

Required Qualifications Include:
  • A minimum of a Master's degree, or the foreign equivalent, in Electrical or Computer Engineering, Electrical or Computer Engineering Technology, or a closely related field is required for undergraduate programs.
  • An earned doctorate, or its foreign equivalent, in Electrical or Computer Engineering, Electrical or Computer Engineering Technology, or a closely related field is required for teaching at the graduate level.


Preferred Qualifications
  • A PE license, College level teaching experience, and experience with online teaching platforms are preferred.
  • Prior college level teaching, related work experience and online teaching experience are pluses.
