Our Kennesaw campus is located at 1000 Chastain Road NW, Kennesaw, GA 30144. Our Marietta campus is located at 1100 South Marietta Parkway, Marietta, GA 30060.

Job Summary

Kennesaw State University is now accepting applications for a pool of open rank, part-time faculty positions in the Department of Social Work and Human Services for the academic year 2023 - 2024. These positions are on an as needed, semester-by-semester basis. Rank is determined at the time of hiring and will be commensurate with experience.

Responsibilities
  • Teaching graduate level courses in Social Work in research, human behavior in the social environment, social work foundations, social welfare policy and clinical courses.
  • Clinical Supervision

Teaching assignments will be based on earned degrees and SACSCOC Faculty Credentials Guidelines.

Required Qualifications
  • A Terminal/Doctorate degree, or the foreign equivalent, in Social Work or Human Services, or a related discipline.

OR
  • An MSW from a CSWE-accredited program, and a minimum of 5 years post-MSW direct social work practice.

Additional required qualification include:
  • Advanced clinical license (L.C.S.W. or equivalent)
  • Ability to access and utilize a wide variety of software platforms for training, teaching and operations.


Preferred Qualifications
  • Clinical license in Social Work is required to teach clinical courses
  • Previous experience in teaching online and at the college level is preferred
  • Experience teaching on-line or hybrid courses
  • Experience in a clinical practice
