Job Description:


The Part-time Library Associate is a para-professional position which provides clerical and administrative support in the Massasoit libraries.

Responsibilities and Duties:
  • Charges, renews, and discharges library books and materials
  • Assists in maintaining collection in correct library order;
  • Assists library users in locating and using materials
  • Assists library users with their electronic searches
  • Performs related work as assigned

Requirements:


  • Minimum of two years of completed college courses or a completed Associate degree
  • Minimum of two years of customer service experience

Preferred Qualifications
  • Knowledge of library practices, procedures, including filing material, operating simple machines, etc.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • Experience in libraries and/or higher education

Additional Information:


Position Status: Part-time, non-unit paraprofessional.

Hours: 16 hours but no more than 18 hours per week (Not to exceed 936 hours annually). Proposed schedule of 4 days per week from 10am-2pm during the academic year of September through May.

Salary: $32.00 per hour, without benefits

Worksite: Brockton and Canton Campuses as assigned
