Job Summary


The Department of Civil, Environmental and Architectural Engineering at CU Boulder welcomes applications for a Postdoctoral Associate. The candidate should have knowledge and prior experience in various fields related to architectural engineering including energy assessments and construction management of new constructions and retrofit of existing buildings. The candidate will overview training, research, management, and outreach activities related to retrofitting existing buildings. In addition, the candidate will interact and communicate with various stakeholders related to building industry including manufacturers, utilities, cities, and building managers.

What Your Key Responsibilities Will Be

  • Develop new approaches and algorithms to prescreen several existing facilities to assess their potential for energy efficiency improvements.
  • Manage and overview technical assessments of existing facilities to conduct energy audits.
  • Assist in managing and scheduling construction and retrofit projects to implement pre-approved energy efficiency measures.
  • Coordinate between various stakeholders to complete construction and retrofit projects.
  • Manage and overview measurement and verification analyses of the energy efficiency measures after completion of the construction and retrofit projects.
  • Write technical reports about the status of various energy retrofit projects for various stakeholders.
  • Assist in writing proposals to seek funding for various energy efficiency projects.
  • Communicate with various stakeholders about the status and outcomes of projects.




What We Can Offer


The annual salary range associated with the position is $45,000 to $50,000.

What We Require


PhD in Architectural Engineering or a related field, with some experience in energy assessments of buildings.


What You Will Need


Experience in computer programming, and strong technical writing skills.
