Program Coordinator, Rural/Underserved Outreach & Engagement

Position Summary:
This position is responsible for providing day-to-day operations support to team members throughout the planning, implementation and delivery of programs, and may serve as first point of contact for the unit.
Duties may include:
- Serving as primary contact with program participants, customer service and office support functions
- Facilitating communicating between program participants and managerial staff
- Coordinating arrangements for the program such as meetings, conferences and banquets
- Collecting, compiling and summarizing program data and managing records
- Maintaining program calendars and schedule
- May utilize University programs to create, review and approval financial documents, and to provide routine financial reports to the program administrator
- Other duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Three years performing administrative, office and/or program support functions
- Composing, proofing and editing a variety of documents, using proper grammar and punctuation as demonstrated in application materials
- Using computer software and applications for word processing, developing spreadsheets, email and internet research
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in public health, social science, or another related field
Experience in/with:
- Data collection software such as Qualtrics and/or REDCap
- Handling a variety of projects simultaneously that require a high degree of attention to administrative details
- Working with youth
- Working with health professions students and health professionals
- Public speaking, presenting information to small and large groups
- Using software such as Canva to develop visually engaging print and digital materials
- AHEC and knowledge of health care systems
